Corn Holds Firm as Soybeans Slip — QH Weekly Forecast (Dec 8, 2025)
We’re pleased to share this week’s Corn and Soybean Forecasts* — the latest update in the Quantum Hedging Product, offering a data-driven look at near-term pricing trends as we move deeper into December. This week’s signals highlight diverging momentum across the grain complex: corn remains supported, while soybeans lose ground after several weeks of choppy consolidation.
Corn Outlook
Corn maintains a moderately bullish tone this week, with the QH model assigning a 71% probability of higher prices over the next 30 days. March corn (CH25) is forecast at $4.60/bu, up 15¢ from current levels, supported by continued seasonal strength and stable technical indicators. The model’s price cone shows a constructive, slightly narrowing upward path — signaling sustained strength, but with more measured follow-through as markets digest recent gains.
Soybean Outlook
Soybeans turn softer, falling nearly 30¢ on the week and slipping to a 46% probability of higher prices — a neutral reading trending bearish. January soybeans (SH25) now forecast at $11.45/bu reflect weakening momentum after several weeks of indecision. The model’s forecast trajectory tilts downward, suggesting near-term pressure unless new demand catalysts emerge.
Spread Forecasts
Corn spreads flip bearish this week, with CH/CK dropping sharply in probability — a notable shift from last week’s more constructive posture. Soybean spreads, beginning a fresh SK/SH cycle, open stronger with a 63% probability of tightening, aligning with a forward curve that now reflects the model’s softening flat-price view.
